About
Married With Children, I used to love that show on TV... I used to laugh so hard with its dark humor about family... Now I have one, I can relate in a nice way...
It's been 8 years since we've been in Vegas. It's Karen's birthday and we decided to take a long drive to Vegas this year. It was hot and the kids really loved the pool, although it's windy. Bellagio was nice as usual, there were so many changes in Vegas since we've been here. New hotels, remodeled casinos, more lights and actually fewer visitors, IMO. We spent most of the day for the pool and games for the kids. They loved everything but the walks in the 99 degrees heat.
Here are our pictures for the trip. Just click the picture and any picture to start the slide show.
We're just so happy to see our children playing and laughing happily. It's not how much money we spend for them, it's not the expensive clothes needed to make them proud, they don't care about the price tags, just the colors that they like. They don't know the difference between a $1 toy to a $10 ones, all they care is that they would have new toys that they like. Parents tend to over shower their children with extravagant stuff that they like, not what their children actually like. We listen to our children, we notice what they like, dislike, children are simple... They want what they like and they need their parents attentions and attentions and understanding require time and patient which many parents lack. We devoted our time after work for our children and our family, that's why we have a family. We love our children and they love us and it shows. It shows through our actions and their actions... and again, actions speak louder than words...
It's been a while since we went to visit friends and families in Southern Ca, we both took a few days off to take the kids to Knott's Berry Farm and at the same time we visit some old family members. It was a great trip, it was nice to meet people that we haven't seen for so many years. The kids loved Knott's. Brandon couldn't go onto a few rides which made him upset, we may wait until he's at least 48" before we go again. They had fun, enjoyed the park, that's the only thing matters to us.
This year again we went back to Crown Paradise, Cancun for our summer vacation. We're extremely lucky, when we got there, the sun came out and the storm stopped for 5 days, it came back slowly the 6th and 7th day, just when we're ready to leave. We know that we've been there 3 times, the same thing, but we like it. The food is good, the beach is beautiful, our rooms always have ocean view. The food is not outstanding but it's ready anytime we're hungry. The important thing is the kids love the place. We went to every restaurant on the resort but the French one because they don't allow kids. This year, the economy seems to be better, there are many people, much more than last year. We took tons of pictures and videos, but these are a few from different places on the resort. For less than $3000 for 8 days/7 nights all inclusive, flights, room for 4 people, I don't know where else is better... Eat and drink all day, shows at night. Just click play for slide show and pause to stop and single step.
It may well be the last ski trip we have for this year, we went to Reno again last weekend. The Friday drive was raining, snowing, and it took us 6 hours to get there, but it was beautiful on Sat & Sun. For some reasons, they also gave us a suite by mistake or they felt sorry for all the money I've given them. Anyhow, the family loves the suite, especially the kids, they want to stay in this kind of room everytime we go there. We're just happy that they had fun and great time. Thanks to a few lessons from Mt.Rose Rosebuds group, Audie now can ski by herself. Brandon still needs help, well, he's only 3 and we think he did quite well. The only thing is he only likes to go with the whole family, without his sister, his motivation and excitement is gone and he got discouraged so quickly. Hopefully next year he gets better so he can ski with his sister "fast". This time, we let the kids to play Nintendo 64 games in the room, they liked it a lot and we may have to get them video games pretty soon. Here...
Audie loves beef, she's so skinny but extremely productive and cheerful, that's what all we want for her & her brother to be. Children love to help and be in charged and both of our children have the opportunities to do so. Yes, it does take patient and time, but we try to have time for our kids to make them extremely happy. Happy kids make happy parents and we're happy...
Today, Audie prepared lemongrass steak for the whole family to enjoy.
I moved to the Bay area for the first time in 2000. I've been living in Southern CA most of my life. It was new and totally different experience living in "Silicon Valley". I hated it here until I met my wife. We dated casually for 3 years, until one Christmas, 2002, the ultimatum and we decided to get married...
It was the best decade for me, although it wasn't easy, we had to go through rough times... but we made it through very nicely.
This is our 10 years together through thick an thin and it's for our family members who know our oldest niece name for username and oldest nephew for password and they are case sensitive.
Once a year, we go to Reno to celebrate our New Year and ski at the same time. It's kinda like our winter vacation. We stayed in Eldorado this year. We missed the celebration dinner because we didn't have anyone to babysit our kids.
This year will be the first year Brandon gets to learn how to ski. Rosebuds program for kids @ Mt.Rose Ski Resort is the best. Most of instructors are young skiers or snowboarders. Most of them are great with kids, although some are nice but don't have the patient for troubled kids like our Brandon... He just doesn't listen to authority very well, he just likes to play and does whatever he feels. Without the help of an experienced instructor, we're going to stop the Brandon's session short because he didn't get the attention he needed from the young and impatient instructor. Well, Brandon should NOT be in the group anyhow, it was our fault. Thanks to the experienced ski instructor, Brandon had fun and enjoyed his lesson well. The next day, we had him in private session.
In this video, Wyborne is carrying all the ski equiptment so heavily that he felt down. So cute! He didn't have much fun when he didn't do as well as others. Anyhow, Wyborne's instructor is inexperienced and not too patient. Wyborne didn't have the attention he needed, he cried and we had to ask a walked by instructor to take him in.
Dear Friends & Family, L,K,A & B wish you all a very Merry Christmas and extremely Happy New Year. A& B actually sing for us this year. Please turn on your speakers to hear the warm, beautiful and the most innocent wishes ever.
B. has not had a picture with Santa since our company stops funding for kids xmas events. We like B. to have a picture with Santa so he won't feel missing out anything... We don't think he's really into taking pictures with Santa when we found him. We finished all the decor for the house, the tree and now all we need is presents under the tree, but the kids seem to like using the presents right away...
