When I started to make my own website,
Justhost.com has all the brand name blog server software for
free like wordpress, movable type, b2evolution, mambo, joomla, Nukes... etc, I tried wordpress, b2evolution,
mambo, joomla and somehow, I like Nucleuscms the most. May be I like the not so popular, the not so
commercialized one. Actually it has all the features I need to create my website, blogs.
I had to create a blog for... ... my uncle who's a very famous VN poet, who's almost 70 for
his later years (god knows how many especially with cancer and all), one for my
70 year old aunt who's retired and love to write and keep herself busy.
And these blogs need VN fonts which nucleuscms still support
nicely with unicode32, the amazing thing is it only
took my aunt and my uncle who doesn't
know how to bookmark or what
a browser is can write
and upload in a
few days.
I was
going to just
have a category for
Nucleuscms in one of my blog,
but after many trials and errors technically,
I realized there are so many things to write for a
complete "how to" for total software idiot like me to use
nucleuscms efficiently, it will take a whole blog with all the categories and
examples, now here it is. By the way, this write up is for totally beginner like me, who's writing
about the experience that I went through while building my websites (actually blogs?).
All the frustrations of trying plug-ins that don't work because patches
were missing or not well documented. I'm not a total idiot and
I can't get things to work it must be really bad.
I can only write about what works
for me, and let's just hope that
other gurus will give this
blog some tips
on how
to get
things done
correctly. Actually many
of my friends are very impressed with
what I've been done with nucleuscms up to now.
I'm going to upgrade to version 3.51
since some bugs had been
fixed for the 3.50.
