I'm doing some research to install Mac OS on PC hardware. I like to learn a new exciting operating system, this one may well be the dominating OS in the future, especially for $29 to try.

Well, I tried over the weekends and nothing worked. I have 3 PCs, 1 with Gigabyte MA690G-S2H and 1 with i7 920. I'm trying it on the netbook acer oa751h and... ... it hangs at the install. Need to read more and do more research. It's extremely blurry on the Internet about this thing. Instead of bookmarking, I put the link that I read on here for easy access.
what to do when hackintosh keep rebooting after installation
Have some laughs on youtube about anti-PC
Got my Snow Leopard in 5 days from Amazon
So it wasn't 10.6-10.6.2 which they have patches to run on the internet. I had to use some other distro to install the older version and hope the new 10.6.3 patch will come soon.
We need iDeneb 1.6 & iAtkos v7 distro combined to get it working.
My MSI X58 Platinum i7 920 is not supported anywhere on the internet since it's not Gigabyte or Asus, anyhow, as I understand all chipset X58 should have the same protocols and all manufacturers should build with Intel specs. Well, I'm not going to go out and buy a $200. motherboard just to try out. Someone on the internet did an MSI X58 Pro board and I followed his tips and got mine working after about 10 trials before this, his way worked right away with only 2 tries since there's no tutorial at all.
The goal is to get to this Leopard flash. It's beautiful, isn't it?
Anyhow, everyone seemed to worry so much about the bios settings, which I also did follow them. After the second install, I left everything as it was with windows and it still installed and boot perfectly.

Now we can just need to set the SATA to AHCI (NOT IDE or RAID) and set boot sequence to CD-DVD (1st boot) and hard drive (2nd). Put the iDeneb 1.6 (10.5.8 light) distro in the DVD drive and re-start the computer. If the dvd drive reads the DVD correctly, there will be a Darwin welcome and within 8 sec we have to hit F8

When everything is done with the formatting, partitioning, exit the utility and select destination (the disk we just prepared).
Customize options is very important to how well we will boot with our hardware (system). This set up did work for us consistently.
Now expanding the iDeneb xxx Ready options arrow to see what's inside the "-"
We have wireless pci card from airlink101 AWLH6070 150Mbps 802.11n which works with Ralink driver download here. So we don't really need to select it now.
Just click Done and start to install the os x
It should not take more than 15 minutes in i7 920 running @3.6Ghz even with 1 CPU. It should finish, but before we boot into the hard drive, we need to install and OLD ACPI fixed from iATKOS v7 distro, for some reasons, this one works but not the iDeneb (I don't really understand), anyhow, whichever works...
Pop the iATKOS v7 in the DVD and re-start the computer with booting from DVD option (still if we didn't touch the bios).
Again just like the iDeneb DVD, the same thing must be done, just like we're installing the OS using this DVD. Don't forget cpus=1 busratio=20 at boot prompt.
in the customize options only select these. Unchecked everything else even the core, kernel, bootloader...
Uncheck Post-Install Actions
NOW, restart, go to bios, change boot sequence from dvd to hard drive (1st boot), turn on the IOACPI function, save bios and restart...
Chameleon will boot with a screen with the Leopard OS Disk we just installed, click (tab) button, terminal screen will appear, type cpus=1 and hit enter, we should be in the leopard os in less than 3 minutes.
Next (DSDT patching for all cores to work instead of cpus=1).
