We owned Audis that have remote key fobs and driver memory seat, it's great for family members to drive the car without having re-adjusting the seat everytime we use the same car. The driver seat can have up to 4 memory positions, which means we can also have 4 key fobs with different positions if we need to. Our kids are little, so we only have 2 drivers: me and...

We would never think of a day that we would replace our wonderful A8 for a smaller A4. But it's going to be a cabriolet, since the summer is coming and the sun should be bright and warm in Northern CA, nothing better than driving the family in a 4 seater convertible, especially 4-Rings one. The kids love the test drive and the color. Anyhow, last night I took some...

To remove 32V engine crank bolt, we need a pulley locking tool which is sold for about $100 on the net. I made one myself just to use for a few times. Cost about $15.00. The cut for the stars should fit snug and not loose, so don't cut them too wide. Everything was bought in Lowes.

Louis

Disposable: designed for or capable of being thrown away after being used or used up.
Last few weeks, I took the A8, myself took a trip to Reno for some conferences. It's been a long time since I drove the car (my wife daily driver), I was amazed at how nimble...

Sometimes we decided to use the cigarette lighters for playing videos or portable GPS and none of them have power. We check the fuses and everything is in order. What else could it be? After going to the Audiworld to check with other A8 users and someone suggested the rear window switch, and it was off by accident. Turn it on and voila, all the cigarette lighters have power, again. Simple isn't it?

Louis

These days in CA, people who are caught using the cellphones without handfree devices pay hefty fees. I know it's a pain when the cellphone rings while driving, to answer, I have to find my wired handfree, plug it in the phone, then answer. I love the bluetooth in the...

It's that time again, winter and raining seasons are coming. Our Audi A8 is still performing extremely well. The tires are still good, may be a few thousands miles left on the treads, but since American Tires company has a special $100 rebate on a set of 4 tires 2...

When the remotes don't work very well, the batteries 3V CR1620 may be drained too low. We need to check the batteries and replace if necessary. To open the case, get a small screw driver or you're strong enough, you can pull the case and the remote apart.
twist the screwdriver...

It's been 6 years since we've had our 98 A8. It's been the most reliable, comfortable, luxurious car we've ever had. It's hard to get us away from Audi cars. We're totally hooked.
The first time we met our car and the first time it took us skiing - 2004.
Cheers,
Louis
