BackTo: Audi A8 D2 | Viewed: 1958 times | print

Most old Audis have the CC working intermittenly, our 98 A8 also has the problem, we haven't had time to check into it since we don't use it so often. We accumulated all the links to websites that we stumbled into for our references.

I found my cruise control on my '97 was brought back to working by resetting the throttle position sensor.
Turn the ignition on, but do not crank the engine, slowly press the gas pedal to the floor then slowly let it back up.
I am not sure if the gear selector needs to be in P or D so I did it in both.
I also don't know if the procedure requires the ignition to be turned off then on again, or if one can simply start the car after cycling the throttle pedal, so I did both.
In any case, the cruise has worked every time ever since.
